Was this mastered from a dubbed tape? (Which was the case for the cd version on NAP.)

The pic disk was done by AJNA. You should email them about it. It's been sold out for a long time though

I remember it came out at the same time as the CD/LP on Nocturnal Art (so I think the old master was used).

Anyone who heard the recent CD with the new master?

Yes, I have it. But can´t really compare it. I had it previously only dubbed on tape.

Maybe I'm missing something on this, but what do you mean with old and new master? The actual master was deemed lost and even the NAP re-release was taken from a dub afaik. Or do I have such a lousy memory?

Both tape and CD taken from the actual master sounds absolutely brilliant. I'm not an audiophile listener and have just a fairly basic audio system, but one can here a difference for sure. The overall sound is more powerful while the instruments are more nuanced imo. Love it and prefer it over previous editions any time.

The Saturnus Prod. version released few years ago was taken from the original master which is in possession of Attila. Not sure if he found it again or whatever.... Maybe that was just story to make his CD edition sell and he just made someone remaster it in a studio from the first press.

A friend of mine here bought that Saturnus edition CD. The sound is better for sure! Different layout too.

edit: Shit, just realized you were probably looking for a specific version and I have no idea which one this is. If so, nevermind...all others, this one sounds great.

what's that tape? I know it, but not in b/w. last time it got sold and it had coloured paper. See here:
http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5189&highlight=schiekron
and of course I saved the picture then:

this was sold for about 55 euro. I wish I would own it, the cover artwork is absolutely the style I love...

edit: okay, CR99 told about the b/w in the thread that this is a bootleg...

Dunno 'bout a bootleg or not since it's labelled a licensed release. If it got bootlegged then the guy made a damn good job. Both quality of the pro-printed j-card and sound are awesome. Here's the j-card if it makes a difference anyway.
