I also like some Devourment. The album Butcher The Weak is pretty solid. Also, if anyone cares, they are going to be releasing a new album with Seagrave artwork.

that artwork looks TERRIBLE. i dont think they gonna use it for the album cover, it would probably be used on the cd surface print, it's just a new version of the "devourment maggot" which they used on the disc of both albums. the toshihiro egawa version maggot they used for "butcher the weak" looks far superior than the segrave version.

I am not talking about the maggot. I agree, the maggot looks lame but some of the artwork they are going to use is awesome.

To be fair, it is brilliant artwork. However, not suited to a slam band.

Damn! Kinda minimalistic(if you compare it to Cause Of Death or Effigy Of The Forgotten), since there's really not so many details and happenings, but that is a brillian cover....Too brilliant to be wasted for Devourment.

sztorm75: That's what I thought. It is a shame that such awesome artwork is being used for slam death. Would be better if Devourment started going more in the direction of some of the bands Majewski worships.

I do like that new cover art but I won't be buying a Devourment album just for the cover. Devourment sucks.

Doing all that fiddly Decrepit Birth/Atheist shite? No thanks! I think they're a Ronseal band, I wouldn't want them to do anything other than what they already do... unless they start doing it badly.

Totally agree though that the artwork doesn't suit them at all.

I was talking more about going more into Immolation/Incantation territory, as I heard Majewski worships Incantation (definitely worships Immo).

my 2 cents:
CARCASS
Exhumed
Impaled
Jig - Ai
Disgorge (Mex)
The Kill

There's a local band here with a stupid name (Super Fun Happy Slide) who are actually pretty good, sound like a mix of old Carcass / Napalm Death / Necrotomy

Heard of Super Fun Happy Slide. No doubt the name came from The Simpsons.

Carcass - Reek of Putrefaction
Mortician - All, but my choice is Chainsaw Dismemberment

Yeah, I guess that makes more sense. I just saw Majewski advertising stuff as being done by Seagrave and although that didn't look like normal Seagrave stuff, I thought he meant that that artwork and the new maggot were done by Seagrave.
