Necromantic Carnage Night, May 6th 2006. Camera crushing brutality!
Spilling Holy Blood , 4th November 2006. A damn violent event. Satan was there that night.

one band I was never able to see, was Coroner, damm!

I was lucky enough to see Coroner opening for Kreator in 1989. That was definitely 1 of the most memorable metal shows I've been to.

Most memorable non-metal show was Dead Can Dance in 1990.

Saw that Coroner / Kreator tour as well... Good show...

Off the top of my head:

JUDAS PRIEST / a really young DEF LEPPARD (Spring 1980)

IRON MAIDEN (Piece Of Mind Tour) / FASTWAY 1983

JUDAS PRIEST (Defenders Of The Faith Tour) - Augsburg 1984

MANOWAR - Munich 1984

HELLOWEEN / ARMORED SAINT 1987

LOUDNESS - Munich 1984

METALLICA / RAVEN Kill Em All For One Tour @ Hammerjacks - Baltimore 1983

QUEENSRYCHE @ Wax Museum in DC 1983 In support of the 206 Records version of the debut EP-the EMI version had not come out yet... (Read later that it was only their 3rd live gig ever)

WARLOCK opening @ Monsters Of Rock Germany Summer 1986
(Met Schmeir of DESTRUCTION & James Hetfield just standing in the crowd by the Sound Desk area...)

DEATH ANGEL / RIGOR MORTIS 1987 or so

The OBSESSED / MELVINS 1994

OZZY / MOTORHEAD (Ace Of Spades Tour) 1981

OZZY / UFO 1982

IMMOLATION early 90s

MORGOTH

SANCTUARY

SLAYER

Many, many more... Have to dig out the box of stubs...

Lots of great gigs Very Happy , but the ones that stick in my memory the most:

Destroyer 666 with G.O.T.H, Atomizer & Blizzard, last gig before they left for Europe

First time I saw Slayer in 1996

Sadistic Intent in Hamburg after Wacken, 2007

Asphyx (07) & Watain (06) at Party San

Cold Meat Industry in Melbourne a few years ago

I think that D666 show was with Random Violence as opposed to Blizzard... though they were playing around some during that time.

Oh and yeah BDN was a sonic headfuck!!!

Lugubrum (Bornem 2004)
Darkness (Keep it true 2006)
Armagedda/Black witchery (Ieper 2002)
Dead stop (Gent 2006)

I'm not nearly as old as some of you. My first 'metal' gig would be Sepultura in early 2001 or so. I wish I was 15 years older, every serious death/thrash metal band played within a 15 km radius of my house at some point.

1 of the best live bands that I've seen recently is MIDNIGHT. Jamie (Athenar) is 1 of the coolest guys I've ever met!
