Split 7 EP with Bloodbath, nice pairing, last Bloodbath with Nick was a monster an album.
Puncturing the Grotesque mini album CD/LP

Kings of Death Metal! Looking forward to hear both materials.

Will buy for Autopsy but Bloodbath always been overproduced garbage to me (minus the first EP). Is like when I bought the Mortuary Drape split 7" with that Shining' turd on the other side...
Fuck nowadays splits.

The cover artwork reminds me a little bit on the movie "Mermaid In A Manhole"...

Sounds like Gehennah with Reifert on vocals. Don't know what to think.

Holy fuck what a filthy blast of hardcore/thrash/death nastiness! Autopsy hasn't sounded like this in a long time. I love all their stuff, but this new song has an energy and urgency that has been lacking from their recent output. I even hear a bit of VoiVod at times (although that could be from me listening to VoiVod almost non-stop for the past two days...)

So Autopsy is covering a song by Bloodbath but it's a different band than the Swedish one that they're doing the split with, and Bloodbath is covering a song called Blood Bath by Cancer. Also the cover song is going to be on the EP so the only reason to get the split is if you're a Bloodbath fan? A little confusing to say the least.

Very confusing for sure.

I think I'll skip the split since the Autopsy song will be on their EP...I don't need to hear Bloodbath covering Cancer when I can just listen to the original.

It would have been way cooler if this was a split with Autopsy and the U.S. Bloodbath (that at one time featured Danny Coralles). The only song I ever heard from them was on that old Ruthies Inn comp.

And speaking of bands named after Cancer songs...I always thought "Corpse Fire" would be a pretty cool band name.

I always got Voivod vibes from Mental Funeral, funnily enough.

Autopsy have been fairly underwhelming on record since they Reformed.

Dont think that will change

Song doesn't do that much for me but I dig the art.

Art rules. I don't mind the song at all, even if their recent albums don't grab me instantly I find myself getting into them by let's say third listening. I think they actually still push the boundaries of their sound carefully coming up with little things they didn't have before.

Overall the best death metal band in my opinion.
I just wish they were more into Mental Funeral style...

User above said Gehennah, but what this one really reminds me of is that Toxic Holocaust new song with a cartoon video.

Agreed, not bad by any means, just missing something. I also wish for a return to the Mental Funeral style but it ain't gonna happen!
