The most evil band in the world or merely a spastic pose?

It's been a year, but now I'm on a roll.

I only have the Evil Genius demo compilation (razorblade edition!). It was like a fall into some black abyss the first time I heard it. Didn't enjoy most of it. I suppose that was the point! There are bits of decent death doom in there, but the idea of improvised music never really had me interested.

Doesn't sound evil enough to be called the most evil band in the world. Anyway, talented enough to be able to play instruments, but decided to make the chaotic stuff they did mostly, so I can conclude they were dedicated enough.

Where did they get the "most evil band in the world" moniker from? Is it because on one of the albums they were apparently torturing themselves? Or does it stem from no one writing compositions like that in black metal at that time?

You serious? It was the key promotional description by the key figure of the scene back then...

Demos are my favourites, utterly evil audio-terror!
As Feuersturm wrote, there are decent parts of Death/Doom to be found on the demo material, all summoned with a sinister Black Metal aura.

In Umbra Malitiae Ambulabo, in Aeternum in Triumpho Tenebrarum is a frightening album.

First album come next. I like Satanic tunes & Evil, Orchestra of Dark is some weird yet interesting stuff. First demo is ok.

Vi Sonus Veris Nigrae Malitiaes is meh and the rest is garbage.

One of my favorite and most played bands easily, Evil Genius being one of my most played records of all time closely followed by Obscuritatem Advoco Amplectère Me which is one of the most insane and demented recordings ever created. The opening scream makes my hair stand up every time....one of my favorite albums to put on when intoxicated or in various other altered states..

I always forget that Morgan is a part of this band(and has been for a long time), he's never talked about them in any interviews I've seen/read and I find it even stranger that he's kept it going on his own.
