Ridiculous. This isn't what people initially paid to attend, and that excuse over facebook about waiting so they could look out for the customers best interests in providing the best line up? Seriously? Haha ...before offering information.
Pathetic.

I suppose one shouldnt really expect any better from this.

I expect people to act like professionals, but I've also been diagnosed with head issues. Correlation? All signs point to probably.....

Yeah, that was my thought. I had a pretty strong ache in my chest over the past few months knowing that I would miss the fest, but tragically things didn't come together for the people who did commit to attending.

Still, the fest has crowning legends of Canadian black metal on the bill. It's still stacked as fuck. If I could make it then I definitely would.

Seems like a scam to me considering how and when all this is coming to light. The promoter obviously knew months ago that he wasn't going to be able to afford to fly in the majority of the bands. I wouldn't be surprised if the current proposed iteration is all he ever actually planned on pulling off. Looks like a quick cash grab to finance his "label" or personal life and since he didn't actually lay out money to bring the bands in he's probably not out all that much. I bet those refunds don't come until after the fest though, if at all.

I think the one nugget of wisdom to take from this whole affair is to not trust a promoter who names his war metal fest as if it was an orthodox black metal fest.

As the meme goes, "How do you do, fellow Satanic Skinheads?..."

Between this guy and the recent Re-Juddening it seems that Ascension is some kind of scamming dogwhistle!

It's really shit for those who bought flights for this and can't cancel them now, especially overseas (if there is any). Every band should cancel their show and force the scum organizer to give people their money back. Those who have a flight booked can still visit the city or something anyway.

As i looked at the picture i just thought....
Maybe his parents took him on holiday vacation with them and he had no choice
