It was already mentioned in this thread that new Kataxu is in the works right now.

Shit album.

Fingers crossed for Kataxu, though.

I listened to it for about 4 hours on repeat during work last night. It surely is more mechanical than the last album. Vocals are very negative sounding. Overall I was having a pretty shitty night so the soundtrack worked. I still need to give it a thorough listen without the distractions of work.

The fact that you need many listens -just as I did- proves that it has the same effect on the majority: It disappoints to a degree. It doesn't reach the heights of it's predecessors Prophecies, Monuments and Industry. Those were immediately captivating.

Better turn the ears to the new Gontyna Kry (which is better than this) while waiting for the new Kataxu.

This album is incredible, and I'm lucky if I hear more than 5 metal albums a year that really stick. It feels incredibly focussed, like there isn't a note (or a riff) wasted.

Good release! Same kind of style as before. Great vocal style.

Looking forward to the new Kataxu. There is a live video on YouTube of Kataxu playing in Ukraine this year.

Why the fuck after the intro is there a fade in to "Completing The Four Sides Of The Flaming Sickle" on the LP pressing of Monuments Of The Elder Faith?

Vinyl requires a different mastering than the rest of the media. That's why only in the LP you'll find nuances in the songs. That fade in was either a conscious decision or a mistake from the mastering engineer.

Definitely a mistake then because it's the second song and it's supposed to start off at full speed. Fading in makes absolutely no sense and it isn't even smooth. It seems to raise in volume. Dip back down. Then go to it's full volume. Rest of the LP was untouched. I had to start it over just to make sure I wasn't hearing wrong. Even A/B'd it with the CD. It's a minor gripe on a great release but that shit should not get a pass by whoever at the label is checking this stuff.

Great album in my opinion - really like the the more in your face, guitar oriented approach.

Looking forward to more Kataxu now.
