Some favourites...

Amon Düül - Paradieswärts Düül
Cluster - 71 & II
Earth - Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light I-II
Popol Vuh - Affenstunde & In Gärten...
Klaus Schulze - Irrlicht, Cyborg, Timewind
Neptune Towers - Caravans... & Transmissions...
Skullflower - Exquisite Fucking Boredom
Tangerine Dream - Zeit

...and so forth. Usually it's the minimal spaced out stuff that does the trick.

Cool choice. For me, their Black Flux works best in this regard.

Emperor Nightside Eclipse was my go-to for many years in this regard. Anything atmospheric is what I'd usually put on. Burzum, old Darkthrone, Paysage d'Hiver, etc. I even used to play Panzer Division Marduk sometimes.

Any of Aphex Twin’s Selected Ambient Works. Vol 2 is my go to but all the “lost” volumes are great too.

Kammarheit- The Starwheel

Some of the more sombre stuff off the Requirm for a Dream soundtrack is great too.

Oh, this ambient mix has been in my constant rotation

And Xander Harris did a one-off ambient styled album under his own name Justin Sweatt and it's super pleasant

Hahaha, yes! Praise The King of unintentional ASMR! I actually watch/listen to a lot of ASMR, it's such a weird fucking subculture, there's really something for everybody... Best BR impersonation:

Also, Ween - Sarah. I once had it on repeat for like two days straight, while taking bong rips and weed naps. I kinda miss it.

And Burzum - Fallen.
