So what is the consensus on soulseller gorgoroth reissues? I am primarily interested in sound quality, sourcing of sound, mastering for vinyl. Thanks

Never heard the original Malicious vinyl presses but I would guess these are many miles better than anything Agonia or BOB could ever do. In other words, best Gorgoroth vinyl reissues done so far.

I have Antichrist, Pentagram, and Under the Sign of Hell and I think they all sound great, though I can't make any comments about the sources or mastering. The packaging is minimal but quality and true to the originals, which is nice.

I might get the first 3 if they sound good.

These represses sound good. Packaging is minimal but in a good way in that it's faithful to the originals and doesn't package a bunch of bullshit with the LP that doubles the price.

I've read a lot about issues with the sound on colored vinyls but in my opinion these sound just fine.
Infernus insisted on the basic layout for these, and looking back on it it was the best thing we could've done for these releases.

Just this! Needless to say that it's all about the sound, can't comment on the coloured vinyl as I bought the black vinyl editions that sound GREAT, though, still, the stripped down layouts perfectly match the timeframe with its distinct visual language in which those records were released initially, and so they all add up to worthy and dedicated reissues. THANK YOU!

Glad to see that you're in charge of the VBE reissue btw.

Any chance "A Sorcery Written In Blood" will have a proper reissue anytime soon? I doubt Infernus would be down to do that, but it still might be something cool to see happening in the future.

Seconded. They are great reissues. Very happy I was able to pick them up.
