Denial of God, in case that you haven't listened to them yet.

I am always amazed at the amount of people naming DOG as something to tjek out. For fuck sake - dont you have ears? Not knowing you taste makes this a bit "from my point of view" but: Solhverv (the cd is suffering from weird and rather poor production) Blodfest and maybe Apollyon (but only the newer unreleased stuff) the MCD and demos is a joke. Just take a hour and youtube it. Dont get your hopes up though! Actually all the best stuff from the bands I would recommend is unreleased. Make of it what you will....

Apollyon's Diaboli Gratia on Full Moon Productions is my favourite danish black metal release by far. Solhverv is also worth checking out.

There are 75% intros on that one - 15% is music. And of those only 50% are metal... SELLING THIS

Then there was Demon Realm - demos were ok to good. Then they did their first album - and chose to record the guitars first and drums second. And guess what - it does not sound that good... Also the drummer could not play the songs so.... yeah...

I rather like this one Blodfest tape I own - something like Den Fly'r Ej Ilden Som Over Den Springer? - but that's all I've heard from them. Digging the chaos and the occasional Danish word you can recognize rearing its head out of the murk - mostly "økseeeee!!!" or "bloooooood!!!", haha.

Will check out Solhverv and Apollyon.

Thanks, fellas.

NORTT - everything!
SORTSIND 7" + DLP
SOLHVERV (even if the production is somewhat lacking)
DÅRLIG STEMNING - check the recent LP reissue....
NIDHUG demos
DOG - Klabautermanden 10" (not sure it stood the test of time though)

do remember liking the Brandpest demo + 7" - but haven't played either in some years to be honest...

To original poster I would recommend checking out first 3 demos of DEMON REALM. Very solid efforts and very underrated band. Forget their full-length though - a major letdown...

Hmmm looks like MAYBE the Hellheim - Gravlandets Vogtere material has been released, as part of the Solhverv ‎– 94/96 Sessions compilation on Posh Isolation? Unless it's different recordings of the same songs, I suppose.

And now that you ask - im not sure which recording is used on that tape-box. There were two recordings - one in Take-one Studio and a recording done by a blind guy in the reh. place as I remember. The Take-one version is superior to the blind-guy-version...
