Inspired by Kill Monument's Swallowed thread when he name dropped this album as a influence. It's always good when you go back and listen to an album you have not heard in years and stabs you right in the face even more than it did before. Discuss..

I was absolutely obsessed with this record when it came out. Haven't listened to it in ages. Thanks for the reminder.

hadn't listened this decade I don't think, but the reference in said thread had me jam it today at the gym and its a monster still. Underrated? I'm not so sure, but seems its slipped through contemporary cracks.

Yeah incredible album. The debut gets a lot of praise but they really came into their own on this record.

One of the best Grindcore albums ever. And definitely one of the most original.

For me it's directly in the top 10 next to the classics of the genre.
And, despite their first album is great, this one is where they defined their personality at a 100%. I love their whole discography, but this is their peak for me.

I remember discovering them with the video of "Godplayer" and being totally blown away. Kevin's vocals are absolutely demential on this song.

I was surprised (if I remember well, correct me if I'm wrong) that Dan Lilker mentioned on his book that Immortal(!) was a great influence on this record.

Indeed! Added it to my player a while ago so I can listen to it on my way to work to kick off the day. And it's even better for cleaning my thoughts and mental clutter when heading back home...

I only have Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses, Kill Trend Suicide EP, and Sounds of the Animal Kingdom...

Apparently Need To Control is better than all three.

Fucking crazy, almost made a thread about this album the other day. Such an ugly album...

Ordinary Madness is an absolutely miserable song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNk_0Z85DCo

My favorite grindcore album but in fairness it covers a lot more territory than simple grind. Incredibly inventive riffs, deranged vocals and stupidly catchy songs. The Godplayer vid on Headbangers Ball in the mid-90s was my introduction and it has been one of those important albums for my own musical tastes and development through the years (decades!). A true masterpiece.

I am sad that Brutal Truth is no more but on the other hand I sure am glad that Total Fucking Destruction is still kicking asses and Blurring is delivering top quality grind!

Displacement!

Glad I got to see them twice before they split up. Grindcore never gets played here anymore, but this album deserves the credit it gets.
