I apologize if it's readily available in several distros, but I've noticed that the vinyl version is still in stock here: https://eshop.atmf.net/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=36326.

Can't say much about the album though, haven't listened to it enough yet.

Really, really great album. It has a pretty strong impact!
Dont get the Marduk comparisons. Completely different vibe. Both are intense, but the atmosphere is way more chaotic with FM.
First presses seem like theyre running out fast. I need to make a decision on this one, asap!

Best thing on this new one is the start of track 2 - brilliant! And I even get the feeling they had fun doing this...

Another solid album - no complaints here. Logical continuation from the last two - maybe not quite as good, but still better than most nowadays BM. Comparisons to Marduk are predictable - I can hear some similarities too, but who cares???

Its fucking brilliantly incorporated into the song. Love those kind of things - little nods to the glory of the past.

Triumphator is average at best and I don't think they would even be know by many had Arioch not been involved. The best thing they ever did was the Bin Laden US tour shirt.
Its not a matter of being known or unknown. Arioch was key part of it's fierce sound due to his potent vocals on Wings of the Antichrist. Regarding band quality and potential I personally consider: Triumphator > Funeral Mist > Marduk. There's a reason why it was easier to keep releasing FM material and way easier to keep the Marduk albums coming. This just reveals that the amount of energy that Triumphator required overwhelmed the musicians. Just compare "Wings..." to Viktoria, the black metal that's being released nowadays is disney music in comparison to the old days. Of course there are a lot of new gems, but not made by the famous bands, these are all in a constant decay.

While I don't necessarily agree about Triumphator being better than Funeral Mist (at least up to the latest album), this is really well said. I guess much of the difference for "established" bands comes from the fact that in the early days, everything was running on pure inspiration and vision, whereas today it's a complex calculation between financials, touring cycle, record label contracts etc.

It's hard - almost impossible - to imagine a black metal musician who tries to make a living out of music alone without sacrificing at least some of the integrity. The market just isn't big enough to sustain something like that.
