Is there anything tougher than Carnivore's Retaliation?

Serious question- discuss.

Not really. Cool

Sheer Terror - Just Cant Hate Enough is a close second.

Age of Quarrel comes close, but isn't tougher, no. Damaged comes damn close.

Same with Just Can't Hate Enough and Those Who Fear Tomorrow . . . they're tough, but definitely not tougher than either Carnivore record.

Other contenders:

Far Beyond Driven
From Enslavement to Obliteration
First three Bolt Throwers + the Peel Sessions
Hell Awaits
First four Metallicas if only for Hetfield's godly downpicking
Winter's Into Darkness

Good call. Took me a long time to get past the vocals, but I love this album. Pantera owed a lot to these guys.

1st Solstice (US) ... incl. that Carnivore cover.
2nd Demolition Hammer for sure.
Exhorder - the fucking law ... no Pantera success without Exhorder's influence

And so we have the three best Thrash Metal records of the 90ies
