I did the 90ís Marduk poll and someone mentioned a 2000ís poll would be interesting... so here we go!

A lot of the stuff they did around this time is pretty hit and miss for me, especially in the later 2000ís.

Overall, I think World Funeral is my go to for this era.

I'm out of those Marduk since a year ago when rediscover interest for, thanks to earthquake Frontschwein.

But voted for Plague Angel cause of its relentless fury in music and attitude.

World Funeral. First two songs are among the band's finest works.

I think all the Mortuus records are infinitely better than the ones with Legion. It's a tough call between Plague Angel, the album that refound the fury in the band, and Frontschwein. Plague Angel probably gets it now, but it changes every ady. Serpent Sermon would be the third.

Plague Angel, of course, but I can only imagine how much better the latter albums could have been had Emil Dragutinović not left the band.

The rest i never cared.

Almost as tough as the 90s one but the choice was easier. Rom512 is a close to perfect record, very we well written and has accuser/opposer. But the whole Mortuus era is just surprisingly good.

But then again, what bands with 14 albums haven't?

Same applies for Impaled Nazarene.

If your only obsession isn't Orthodox BM , one can say that band from Kolbotn.

None. Marduk died for me after their last good album "Opus Nucturne".
