2,05€ ? Very Happy

you is right

It costs 2.05 euro, but the parcel is only insured up to 35 euros. So sending a Flames Of Hell LP as registered parcel will make you cry in case it gets lost.

Sending with DHL it is insured up to 500 Euro worldwide, but postage costs to EU or oversea countries rise exponentially with the distance to Germany...

Did you ever try to claim that money ? They cheat you using some damn point system to recalculate the value... 400 EUR turned into 40 EUR + 62 EUR shipping fee I got back.

Actually only one time I needed it and I could prove it with dozens of papers (ebay printout, ebay-winner mail printout, paypal-printout, DHL-printout) to get my 110 Euros back that they scrapped.

Depends on the weight.
In California [USA I assume] between $10-$15 to send a package internationally.
A letter, not sure, never tried it. I reckon it would cost much less.

2-2,5 € or 2,5-3 USD to send registered items from Hungary.
The price depends on actual currency.

Here it's around 2,80€ to be added to regular priority postage, but it's not insured, it's just a proof that something was sent. Insurance have a totally different fee range, and it's not available to all countries.

For M-bags, registering is a further 8,26€

Cannot register international parcels. The service was abolished several years ago. You can only insure an item for a specific amount.

You can΄t register parcels under 2 KG here anymore as well, only things which get sent as a letter which is financially valuable only if the pack is under 1 KG.

Here in the USA they keep putting tighter restrictions in terms of weight and length for parcels for international registered. It's ridiculous. I think they are just doing this because they don't want to actually have to take care of something for once (gasp!) and get off their asses... another, "we are liable in case something happens" kind of thing. It's also getting more and more expensive here.
