Mortal Kombat has to be the "breakthrough" game back then, That game is so good I have the same version on both SNES and Sega Genesis consoles.

Wasn't it some kind of RPG for the NES? There's another one I liked that was tougher than shit called "Shadow Gate"..

It had a fine horror sequel named "Uninvited". Go check out the Scarlet O'Hara there. It scared me to no end when I was young
Both are more ancient point&click adventure puzzles than classic RPGs

Mortal Kombat was the shit when it came out. Everyone was raving about it, even more when it got banned
Several rip offs followed for cashing in of course. The most ridiculous must be "Tattoo Assassins". Thankfully was never released actually

There were unlicensed adult games for NES. Not many people know and they are rare as all fuck. Titles like Hot Slots, Bubble Bath Babes and Peek-a-Boo Poker.

Yeah stuff like Chiller etc. too
And unlicensed bible games as well. Noah's Arc 3D which was basically a redesigned Wolfenstein 3D game
There is also the bible entirely ported on a game boy cardridge. I think it's one of the rarest and most expensive games if you like to collect such stuff

I dont actually collect such obscure "games", only keep the good ones
Only concentrate on getting metal

Never think I've read about the adult games before, haha. Cool! Very Happy

Anyone ever heard about the insanely rare Nintendo World Championship 1990 cartridge?
You can read about it here, I remember a webpage which had a lot more info than that article though.

I played Zelda II: The Adventure of Link on a NES-emulator for the PC a year ago or something, and I took this cool screen shot, hehe:

Of course, the golden and silver ones. Some of these went for 10k and more

The winner of the NWC was named "Thor Aackerlund", how cool is that?

When I was younger, I had a Sega Master System... can't remember anymore what games there were though.
C64 had the best games: Decathlon, Asterix, Zorro, Miami Vice etc. etc.

I don't bother with the ultra rarities, at least right now. Another very rare title is Stadium Events.

http://www.nintendoage.com/ has a monthly e-zine in which they publish a price guide in.

WOAH!!! He even has the box still! hahaha madness!

That pic is a blast from the past. I still have about 8 cartridges left. Just collecting dust.
I thought about selling them, but wouldn't know how much they would go for or starting price.

My favs were Rampage, Mike Tyson's Punchout Laughing , Ninja Gaiden, Contra!, Super Mario 2 and 3, The Punisher and this one motocross bike game - Cross Circuit or. . forgot the name. .
I'm not into console games anymore, WAY too time consuming. Arcade stuff is still cool.
