Taking cues from the AJFA thread, I decided to highlight this metal milestone. Personally, this is my favorite album and in my opinion, their best. James voice was still full of piss and vinegar but it got a little more honed in and structured. And to everyone that says "Escape sucks", you are very much wrong.

Blow the universe into nothingness
Nuclear warfare shall lay us to rest

If you’re about to cast a dissenting “opinion” on this, one of the greatest heavy records ever made just PM IXTAB and have him delete your account instead.

^^^^^^

First metal album I bought. Flawless in every way.
Trapped Under Ice is easily in my top 5 favorite metal songs.

I love Hetfield's vocal pattern on this song.

Their darkest record. Because of that, also my favourite.

Flawless record under every aspect. From the relentless riffs of "Fight Fire With Fire" and "Ride The Lightning" to the melancholic acoustic bits of "Fade To Black", this is a complete, full-fledged milestone of Metal music.

Agreed on all fronts.

Call of the Ktulu is also the greatest instrumental they’ve ever done.. tops Orion even.

Of course it is the best album. It's flawless. If I had to choose flawless thrash metal albums this one will be with first five Slayer albums.

This has the best Metallica songs, but Kill 'Em All is the best album.

And if Escape was a b-side of some semi-obscure NWOBHM single, it would still suck and nobody would give a shit about it.

Also the first Metal album I ever heard in my life, this perfect sound introduced me to Metal, although shortly later, I forgot about Metal for a long time until around 2016 when I gave a serious listen to it again.

Even the original video from 2006 I used to watch over and over again is still there.

This flawless album should be in every metalhead's collection. The guitar tone is the best they ever had besides AJFA.
