Lightning Bolt
not quite similar to bands you've listed, but you might enjoy em. two piece noise rock, just bass and drums.
Hypermagic Mountain and Ride The Skies are (imo) their best albums.

Some Colin Marston bands like: Dysrhythmia, Encenathrakh and Crator.
Behold the Arctopus too but it's pretty crazy so it's not easy to recommend it.

They're fast but I wouldn't call them technical (compared to the other bands that have been listed). Pretty much all standard time signatures, chord progressions and rhythms. Impressive guitar work, sure, but overall not super technical imo.

Iím looking for rock, metal and hardcore bands whose music incorporates polyrhythms, polymetered riff cycles, rhythmic syncopation and rapid key and tempo changes.

A few examples:

Anders Johansson, Jens Johansson and Allan Holdsworth - Heavy Machinery
Candiria - The Process of Self-Developement
Confessor - Condemned
Cryptopsy - None So Vile
Cynic - Focus
Damaged - Token Remedies Research
Death - Human
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Calculating Infinity
Dim Mak - Enter the Dragon
Gorguts - Obscura
Meshuggah - Destroy Erase Improve
Fredrik Thordendalís Special Defects - Sol Niger Within
Spastic Ink - Ink Complete
Tool - Lateralus
Watchtower - Control and Resistance
I barely know what any of that stuff means but I'm curious why you put None So Vile in there. Link specific riffs please.

Also, surprised to see no mentions of Demilich or Deathspell Omega.

Daughters - Hell Songs

Wildest shit ever. Haven't heard it yet myself, but the new album is supposedly really really good.

I almost mentioned them as well, but figured they should be pretty obvious.

The original post mentions such names like Cynic and Watchtower but no Voivod. That's basically a crime! Voivod fucking smoked live last night. Best gig I've seen this year.

wonít somebody think of the polyrhythms!

came on here to say Botch as well.
some good mentions: the End, Mars Volta, Steven Wilson etc.
some other mentions off the top of my head:

Metal:
Meshuggah
Mudvayne (second album only - ignore the rest)
Between the Buried and Me
Necrophagist
Viraema (forget how to spell it)

Rock:
Bellini
Onereida (I think)

will post more when I recall more
