I couldn't find a thread so here it is.

Write a word or two and maybe include some links.

Axegrinder - The Rise of the Serpent Men (Svart, black vinyl) is currently on turntable, and even though it was sourced from an old CD and then mastered for vinyl, I would recommend this to everyone. I only wish there was no spoken word sample on the intro, but it's alright.

Furthermore, the infamous Back on Black... I have Amebix - Monolith and Bolt Thrower - In Battle LPs and I have no complaints soundwise, layout is fine as well. Any other BOB reissues worth getting?

High Roller reissues simply rule.

I would also like to read some reissue vs. original comparisons.

Speaking of re-issues, how are the Sarcofago-INRI reiusses? Sound? Were there remasters?

Also how do the different versions of Thergothon-Streams compare?

Citizens Arrest - Colossus (Cell, Fortress, Old Hardcore Records)

incredibly well done reissue/collection of some of the best hardcore to come out of the USA. not a standalone reissue, as the first LP is their demo, "a light in the darkness" ep, and comp tracks, but I'll still include this release here.

The booklet/zine included is enough reason to buy a copy of this, even if you own the original releases. Sound and pressing quality is fantastic. the amount of care and thought put into this collection really comes through.

Cell is/was an imprint of NWN, only has a handful of releases that I can recall - CxA, bone awl, masters hammer, maybe a few others. maybe YK can shed some light on that.

the new MiíGuass is a reissue success story that defies a lot of things that make reissues suck generally. itís remastered, yet this benefits the reissue in a mind-boggling way. itís got new artwork, and this time the artwork is at least laterally as awesome. nothing can beat that iconic cover of the dudes in the Greensburg woods in their Native American/French trapper regalia but the new artwork is at least as awesome as the original. all in all, a fucking killer reissue.

The Greyhaze reissue is good. Not a remaster as far as I know.

No idea, but recently I asked here about the Peaceville reissue and only heard good words, so I'm gonna go with that one.

Their Graveland tapes are good as well.

Pretty much anything from Dark Symphonies/The Crypt, High Roller, Music on Vinyl, and Svart. Recent reissues from Noise have been good too. Some specifics:

Celtic Frost 2017 reissues on Noise Records
These all look and sound great. I can say for certain that this version of Into the Pandemonium is superior to my '87 Combat/Noise pressing.

Possessed 2015 reissues on High Roller Records
I donít have the originals for comparison, but others have said that these are the best-sounding versions. They do indeed sound great. I canít imagine them sounding any better.

Testament - Low 2017 reissue on Music on Vinyl
Most people on here probably wonít care about this one but I did compare it to my original CD and I think this pressing sounds less compressed.

Slowdive - Just for a Day 2011 reissue on Music on Vinyl
This also sounds better than the original CD pressing I own that has some balance issues.

I only have the Morbid Tales 2017 reissue and I am satisfied with it. Just get the booklet out of the sleeve so you don't end up with bend vinyl. I plan on getting To Mega Therion, but I don't like the fact that Emperor's Return is that shitty '99 mix and The Usurper and Jewel Throne are from Tragic Serenades...

High Roller is a given, but specifically, their Destruction reissues on both vinyl and cd are just about perfect. And as mentioned above, the same goes for the Possessed reissues. The Running Wild and Tankard reissues from Noise are really great as well!
