We proudly announce we will be re-issuing two timeless black metal classics by legendary Tulus!

“Pure Black Energy” (Bonus tracks: 1991 Porta Studio recordings + “Samlerens Kammer” demo)

“Mysterion” (Bonus tracks: “Midtvintermåne” demo)

The early nineties Norwegian black metal band Tulus (formed 1991) has had a cult status for many years. Now is the time to honor this status by making their classic 1996 debut and 1998 sophomore albums available again on cd and for the very first time on vinyl!

Out now

I read that too somewhere.

I always thought the cover of that first album looked really gay.

If he rounds out the year with Gehenna I might just die in ecstasy.

I'll be buying these the instant they go live.

Youre on a roll man. Great to see a cool label doing some quality reissues instead of the usual suspects and their manufactured "cult" lol
The early Tulus stuff is fantastic!

Every label considers its output as 'quality' ...as do those buying it all up Laughing

Subjective opinions aside as such, its always awesome when a label options to release something old you are familiar with and cannot easily find for cheap in the current market, and makes it available again for the consumer.

Yes consumer is the key word. Black and Death metal is big bucks these days. In this case I meant quality choice of band. Not some manufactured obscurity cult or dragging some 5th rate band's 2 song demo from 30 years ago out and making it available on color variants for Instagram teen consumers and "scene points".

Sometimes I wonder though if these older albums wouldn't be better with a slightly more modern eye for the art and packaging, the music on all these old albums are obviously miles above the era of when digital picture manipulations were first being tinkered with by every person with a computer Laughing

Alas, perhaps sometimes what is was and is best to leave be. I like the bands output and liked quite a bit of Khold as well.

Agreed on all points but I do like the original art. My Tulus CD's are fine and I dont need them on LP but I wouldnt mind owning Pure Black Energy. It's weird in it's own way.

I personally always prefer original cover art. These might come out pretty old school looking and I'm sure there's people who will have something to complain on these re-issues, but that's what you get when wanting to use original cover art when the original images have been long lost. It will personally fit the music and vibe I think though.
Having that said, thanks for the kind words, happy to be releasing music that I like!
