I've always loved the intro to "Totentanz" by CORONER.

All the Mortuary Drape!!!

I couldn't imagine that skipping parts or songs is possible when listening to albums, however I see that a lot of you do that. I'm the most irritating on this matter as I can't stop an album before it is played as a whole! That makes some troubles especially when you live with your girlfriend!

Oh well, I just recalled them as that in my mind, as I have to listen to anything since a long time. I just thought of something not distorted and that's all.

Love acoustic passages in any part of a song. Not all intros but worth mentioning:

-Dissection of course as mentioned previously.
-Root has some good one's on "Hell Symphony" and "Temple..."
-some older King Diamond tracks puts the acoustic guitar to good use (A Visit From the Dead, Insanity, Them, etc)
-last minute of Darkthrone's "In the Shadow Of the Horns" as well

LORD BELIAL - The Art Of Dying

Not really an intro, but pretty cool nonetheless:

the intro to thunderbolt-the omen/apocalyptic doom.
it almost sounds like some thrash metal intro from 80s, too.

I like how they use acoustic guitars on Drakonian Paradigm on the Weapon myspace. Sounds pretty effective (incidently can't wait for the album)
