Though not as out there as some bands listed here, I think Blessed in Sin could be a suitable candidate for the terms "weirdo" or "outsider" BM. The keyboard forward hyper melodicism and (especially on ESD) the abundance of strange interludes really sets them apart.

I think my new band Absolute Key would suit here, if primitive Beherit/Ride For Revenge rhythms mixed with noise buzz and ambient/industrial hummings is weird enough:

Runes of Dianceht fit the bill, especially on the album "Eternal Call of Darkness". This vocal effect is just fucking nuts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZirOcEP5n4

You can hear the same vocal effect used on Ulvegr's "Titahion: Kaos Manifest" in some of the interlude / ambient parts, I thought that was kinda cool to hear.

Weird but really good.

I'd argue all of the AAAA bands have something very unique about themselves. Regardless of more or less clear inspirations.

Countess from the Netherlands. Not retarded noise/experimental/pretentious nonsense but a very unique and independent band with a peculiar identity.

Woddrea Mylenstede and quite a lot of Legion Blotan's output. Dommedagssalme is pretty bonkers.

Fuck, we can as well list all black metal bands as all of them are more or less weird. That's one of the strengths of black metal actually.

my band Murmur is definitely out there. The first album is more black metal with alittle bit of avant garde influence,

Mainlining the Lugubrious (full album)

However, with a line up change, and a strong desire to do something unique amongst a sea of extreme metal, the second album pulls influence from a bunch of music that I love that is not black metal, mainly Zuehl, fusion, and prog rock (we do a king crimson cover)

Diapsiquir. Despite the main guys shift to christianity, it keeps getting better and better, and crazier in very different way. Same could be said about Reverorum Ib Malacht, Jesus only spices things up and newest album is most fuked up so far.

TC, you mentioned Puritas Virginium. Thumbs up! I have owned their CD for too long and never appreciated until recently. There is actually very good songs between the weird electronic tracks.

Grausamkeit is the fuhrer band of weirdo type stuff. No words needed, its golden and makes many underground bm sound like pretentious fagots.

Also, big thumbs up fo Choronzon Magog Agog. Very special release.
