+1, with zero respect for their choice from my side though.

Same thing here. They are absolutely absolutely fucking flawless. Goosebumps from the beginning to the end.

I'm torn, definitely fucked up that a band can/would celebrate 40 years with a scab vocalist that ain't yet 40 no matter how good an imitation.

ruff - a scab? Dunno the guy but that seems harsh, no he's not Terry but he's done his homework and he sounds incredible live. People said the same thing about Bryan Patrick in Manilla Road. Yes I know he was around forever.

On a positive and rational note, Diccon Harper is a fucking beast, an absolute technician on the 4 string. Everyone's performances on "room.." continue to grow on me, and I appreciate them and that lp more with each listen. I'll do everything in my power to get to Chicago.

I think Brendan Radigan does an excellent job. His rendering of the songs is deferential yet powerful.

He could be the most talented singer but he will never be the only real Pagan Altar singer: Terry Jones. To me the band died with him. Sure the other guys have the rights to keep on playing music but to change the name (Time Lord was fine) would be more appropriated and respectful for the memory of Terry. This is just my useless opinion, of course. Have fun watching them on their upcoming tour Smile

Of course he'll never be Terry but he's one of the best current doom vocalists I can think of. There are parts of Magic Circle's debut when his voice starts to soar, every single time I feel the hair on my neck stand.
