It doesn't have to be exactly the same. Just "Death Rock" in essence. All help appreciated and if you have the time to link to a MySpace site or something that offers audio samples that would be great! _________________ This is where he kills... |

Check out Mana Mana, an old Finnish cult band, depressive, gloomy and very heavy rock which has been a major influence on Babylon Whores; the song Veritas on King Fear is actually a cover of their song Elämä On Murheen Laakso and the BW guitar player was in the farewell tour line-up of Mana Mana.
This myspace page I found is quite shitty but at least there's a couple of songs there:
http://www.myspace.com/manamanafin
Some info here too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mana_Mana
All in all, an awesome band.
Otherwise it's quite hard to seek recommendations to similar stuff to this unique band (one of my all-time favourites too), but you could do a lot worse than check out couple of the first The Black League (with Jarva, ex-Sentenced) albums. Their myspace page has just songs off the newer albums which are rockier in the southern style but seek the early stuff.
I guess you're already familiar with Fields of the Nephilim, Samhain etc.? _________________ Alone Wankyng |

Mobile Mob Freakshow's 'Raving Dead' EP vaguely fits that ticket - the death rock kinda dealio. Doesn't sound the same, but could be described in a similar manner. I love the strong Swedish accents that permeate these songs too. Primitive Art released this aeons ago, but couldn't be that hard to find _________________ Ashes to ashes

A really great band! Does anyone know where I can get any t-shirts with'em? Online resources besides eBAY? I'm fkkng blind, here.
If not if anyone has any motives that he/she could post here so I would be able to make one for myself it would be great! |

No, I'm afraid... s.charlach knows I had this extremely great looking HAND OF GLORY/CTHONIC YOUTH shirt once I ended up selling years ago 'cause it was a bit big for me (XL)... I only wish I could get one back. It's beyond awesome.
This is the only one besides that one, the Deggael shirt and the first BW design with some PVC clad females I've seen:

Well, it's too bad... I've really just got to create a motive then myself and print it as this band is legen... wait for it... dary!
That's what happens when you love a band one day, forget it the next and rediscover it's beauty eleven years later... |

Hey, count me in then!
Especially something like Sloane 313 cover or parts of Trismegistos & Cold Heaven would work well, since those latter layouts and images by Stephen O'Malley are more complex. _________________ Alone Wankyng |

My Whores shirt got lost in the mail from Finland to Germany, this scan from the Misanthropy Records catalogue. Any rumours what the supermodel in the lower right corner is doing nowadays?
Ps. All you bitches, I still have the Devil's Meat ep for trade!
