You cunt . Because a band sing about christiannity meant their are christians ? Griftegard ARE NOT christians in any way ( Quote from the band ) , they are just interested by the act of worship . Just read their lyrics and you won't find any thing saying they are christians .
That would be as stupid as spiting on Candlemass or Reverend bizzare because they use cross on their albums ... _________________ "When you see the children with x's on their head, if you dare to look at them, soon you will be dead." |

A lot of doom bands use Christian themes and occaisionally are Christians themselves. Honestly I couldn't give a fuck whether they are or not.
When it comes to black/death metal, thats pretty contradictory, but doom has often dealt with religious imagery in a somewhat ambiguous way. |

I recommend reading the extremely interesting interview in the latest issue of Devilment zine for those who wish to know more/understand Griftegard's motivations and worldviews.
Musically this is the most devastating doom metal I've heard since the last Warning LP and I feel like the air is being crushed out of my chest when I listen to it. |

Still waiting for my Devilment order, but I'm really anxious to read that mentioned interview. The first Father Beyond also features Griftegård. -> www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6690
Musically I couldn't agree more. Less Warning. Hehe. Anyway. I howl at Mother Moon all night long while listening to the three Grifte-tracks. I really can't remember being that full of expectations and trustful that it'll work out just uber-great at the same time when it comes to a debut full-length. I'm really lacking for words on these Swedes, but this is gonna kick some serious ass. And even though the band insists on seperating The Doomsday Cult from Griftegård I think you can totally hear where such a stunning song like "Charles Taze Russell" is coming from while listening to the TDC EPs, especially "Devotion May" from "A Language For Sad Spirits ". _________________

I'm afraid you're right. Both were released in a less than 100 handmade edition just like the initial "Psalmbok" CD-R the band sold on DSR. I'll upload the EPs and send you the link though. It's the music at least.
And for those interested there's also a new shirt design up for sale through Ván. -> http://www.van-gbr.de/van_base/product_info.php?info=p857 _________________
