Perhaps this is restricted only to my own experience with the damn things, but has anyone else known their SPV cases to shred the booklets? My copy of Tapping the Vein is awfully buffed thanks to the damn design.

Do you mean the little dots on the front piece of the jewel case? I hate those.

Yes, that's what I mean. They continuously ruin perfectly good booklets. Tom Warrior has complained of SPV's buisiness methods in the past. Its high time he started criticizing their CD's, too. Evil or Very Mad

Isn't that something a label could specify when getting their discs pressed? Especially a big one like SPV. The "dots" and "dashes" ruin booklets all the time; not much that can be done. the "vertical bars" are the only design that works. Either way I'm not a fan of jewel cases or digis because they are too fragile.

I call them jewel case tits. Those suck. They should be banned from being made.

The jewel case speed bumps are better ofcourse.

Jewel case format in general sucks. Digi too. Nothing pisses me off like getting a broken digi in the mail.

An idea solution, IMO would be half height dvd-style cases. Semi-rigid, hard to break, can hold a booklet and allows for wraparound art. Inquired about them and unfortunately the pressing place would need to order 10000 at a time, making it unfeasible.

What I REALLY hate about SPV booklets is the ones that advertise releases in them without any info or lyrics about the actual release.

That's corporate/mainstream metal for you. It's more important to advertise to make more money than to actually give the fans what they want.

And they wonder why people download.....

FMP did that too (at least they used to).

The fact of the matter is, CD tits have got to go. They're destroying society, and they've already destroyed my Tapping the Vein and Agent Orange booklets. They're also hard at work on my Destruction CDs. I pledge that all owners of SPV merchandise transfer their products to less inhospitable cases.
