Almost weekly. I volunteer a 4-hour shift every week at our local punk/metal record collective (worker owned)...
http://www.extremenoise.com/
It's mostly shitty punk (shitty, meaning I'm just not into it) but from time to time a rare metal gem will show up for a good price. Plus we get a lot of new releases.
It will suck if/when real record stores die. _________________ THINGS THAT WILL BE DELETED:

Two days ago. Record shops in Montreal are killer and always full of great stuff! I always try to buy the albums locally - even if the prices are more expensive, before placing an order online. _________________ The Goat of fire in me ablaze

Vinyl, basically never - CDs occasionally. We have a so-so CD store around that sometimes has something I'm looking for, but nobody around here has good vinyl. _________________ http://unspeakableaxerecords.com |

almost once a week - but I work next door to Amoeba in LA. They have a pretty good constant rotation of used metal. |

Last week, when I was on vacation in Dublin actually. They really have killer record stores over there. When it comes to Germany itself, most of them are either vanishing, or charging some ridiculous bucks for records... _________________ "Slit my eyes, for they'll remember..." |

It's been a while. I do check the local record stores often enough though. |

I was in Chicago for the holidays last year and bought a few things at Metal Haven.
It was the first and only time I have ever been to a decent metal shop, and I think the only time I have ever scored any metal records through non mailorder means.
Ridiculous. |

2 hours ago at local used record shop. I scored an early peaceville release I've never heard of (in pristine conditions) for a couple of dimes:
extra hot sauce - taco of death
I just browsed metal archives and I've seen that it's a grindcore project involving danny lilker _________________
