I don't think this kind of stuff is really valid. As with the Carcass tribute, there's too much uninteresting bands who can't really add up anything to the songs. More like ending up as a disgrace to the original classics.

Even though there are some great bands like MACHETAZO in there, they did much better when they covered different bands like Venom or Motörhead.

Tribute albums are pretty useless. Unless it's something like that "Tribute to Euronymous" disc or even that Slayer Mag 7".

All would be cooler if they contained exclusive material though.

Every now and then a Tribute album appears which is very interesting. One being the Tribute to Sepultura on Black Sun Records. That's one of the best tributes for sure.
