Am I the only one who seems to think the production doesn't really fit their sound? |

Probably not, since everybody's been bitching about the production on Phoenix Rising for yonks. I can see why, but I actually like that sound - maybe it's 'cause I just can't imagine it being otherwise.
The new song sounds a bit more technical to these ears, a logical step I think, the same ferocious spirit is still intact. _________________ You make me dizzy with your disease

They were amazing at MDF! I wish they could have played a bit longer as they were cut short by the secrete band. Nonetheless was killer. |

I'm definitely going to still check out the album though and not base it on one song... |

Defiance promo.
I don't know if this is the final version or what. What a disappointment, I expected way more from the legends. Few good tracks, few good parts and shitload of fillers. Some songs sound like watered down versions of Razor of Occam. |

The album was pretty good. Reminded me lots of Terror Abraxas. The only problem I really had with the album was not ONE thrash song on it. Not even a "thrashin" part in any of them.
7.5-8/10. _________________ bands:

The last track is superb, one of the best on the album. Great epic atmosphere. |

Listened to the album yesterday and I was expecting some thrashy songs, but I will give it another listen sometime later on. |

on the contrary, i happen to like this album a lot. i've never been into d-666 by the way, but this album is an exception.
ps: yeah, i know i'll be bashed for this, but hell this album sounds intense to me. _________________ find comfort in serpent's breath...

Dudes this album is killer. Just fucking tight, strong, anthemic real metal. Nothing but. Maybe not the same as the early shit, but fuck it ain't like they made a BLACK album. It's vicious in its own right. I'm in. |
