This band needs a thread if its own, though it's not metal. Their music renders me speechless - every single time. I just took "Weeping Nights" for a spin. Thoughts? Favourite record? Pointless chatter about how amazing they are? Give it here.

A really sinister band indeed..way darker and more demented than most metal bands could ever dream of being.

Fave album would probably be "The Umbersun" brilliant stuff

Fucking brilliant band - my favourite is 'A World in Their Screams', probably just because I heard it first.

Too bad they have stopped all their activities...

Fantastic music, so deep, so dark! The Umbersun is maybe my favourite release, the sixth album is absolutely brilliant too.

Amazing band, I cant get enough of them, especially Winds Devouring Men. For me, Elend are definitely one of those bands that need to be listened to with headphones to fully appreciate the atmosphere of their music.

well the best dark music band IMO, one of the first dark band i began to listen to. For "A world in their screams" is the best album, a musical accomplishment of their career. "The Umbersun" was a true masterpiece as well.

The first three albums are the best, because they are part of a trilogy, united by the concept of Milton's Paradise Lost.
The Umbersun is the darkest album they've released so far, no wonder then why Norma Evangelium Diaboli re-released it through Orphika.
And that is strange thing indeed, because as far as I know, all the band members are actually catholic...
