Many of my orders I'm still waiting for from various labels. I ordered 7'' from BSN and it's been shipped nearly 2 weeks ago. I live in the US, so it should have arrived. Also an order from Hells Headbangers of all places I have not ever received confirmation it shipped, much less i have not seen the record itself in my hands and this order was placed the day before the order to BSN.

My girlfriend and I have also ordered some records through ebay, private sellers, and internationally since may, and nothing has arrived since then either aside from some packages of mine.

Is this something I should contact the post office about? I mean it'd be believable if out of the 5-6 orders we're waiting on, there's potentially an unreliable seller. I've been waiting 3 and a half months for another $60 package from a band, but i'm not even including that. Even in that case, i don't see what the deal is with the rest, and I've ordered from Hells Headbangers of all US distros many times without a single problem, and it arrives in 3 days both as regular and 2 days as priority for me usually, so not sure why that is taking so much time.

Any one else having problems receiving parcels, or know what to do since I'm very sure most of these were sent out to begin with, and I would have to have the worst luck possible if so many packages mysteriously got "lost in post"

I haven't had any problems. I would recommend at least going to the post office and checking up on things. Can your packages be easily stolen from the mailbox? Your situation sounds very strange indeed, especially for those of us living in the US.

Did you requested to send registered service? without a reg number its almost impossible to track a package and in some way it gives security and avoid "lost?" packages.

I sounds like the post office has your mail on hold or is forwarding it elsewhere.

i've noticed mail has been slow as of late, i only order from very reputable labels and the wait for parcels has increased by an xtra week or two, as opposed to the normal week.

i'm not commenting directly about your situation, which does sound somewhat suspect - but i highly doubt HHR are deliberately giving you the high hat.

I haven't noticed any slowness with mail. It's just the usual variation in delivery rate.

one thing i'd suggest is that the summer is usually the time many in the post office take vacations--could be your usual people that deliver your mail etc. are not on the job

I have had major problems with mail speed lately...I am still waiting on people to receive items from me both in the US and in other countries, and it's driving me crazy.
No trouble receiving items myself though, but it's just as much a pain when people send me money and I have to hold on to it hoping I don't end up having to refund everything...

I really wish I could send everything registered but it is just too fucking expensive to do it all the time. I have a feeling I have lost a couple of expensive LPs and a good amount of cash in the last couple of months...

Fuck the mail.

Well for me, international takes 10-31 days, I think you should go ask your post office, but not be too worried yet.

Same here, one registered package from US takes 2-3 wks, from Europe takes 3-4 wks to arrive, if not registered.. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I hate when I order something online but when I get up to check my mailbox, it hasn't arrived yet. I'll never understand how Wile E. Coyote received his packages from ACME so quickly.

Both were likely not sent with confirmation or tracking or registration, seeing as I haven't received anything like that from either source. I opted for standard first class mail with the HHR order than Priority since I've never had problems in the past and didn't mind SOME extra wait. When money allows me or my girlfriend would order from them a couple times a month depending on the new arrivals.

I don't believe I've been ripped off by any of these, so I won't accuse labels/distros who I don't know their reputation and may be first time ordering from anyway, so also other labels who I have ordered from shouldn't believe I think of them in such ways.

Wouldn't the post office send some sort of notice if they were holding my parcels for any sort of reason? I've received all other mail just fine.

I've had many parcels sit on my doors for hours, even during days when people I know would come stop by to see if I was home when I went to work in the past, all the time they'd let me know later on they saw a package and would ask me what records I got, and all the time it was there when I got home. I don't think neighborhood theft is the case. Also I wake up to get ready for work around 10am, leave for work around noon, and mail arrives between 10:30-12 in most cases if at all.

I'll guess it has to do with the summer time as well with vacations, however I would imagine even if someone else is doing the job than the regular person on the route, the only difference would be the handling of the package. It's been nothing but rain lately, so on a better note, at least they aren't turning to shit from the weather if for whatever reason no one is home to get the mail.

Goldenbull I know how you feel. Recently I mailed something out to someone same day as a few others, they claim to have never received and took $60 from my paypal refunded to them, it's a bit irritating coming home to find that on top of about $100 worth of parcels at least somewhere in transit worldwide, and $60 ripped off. Had I had the foresight in these cases, i may have reconsidered, especially with the von lp finally reissued and on diehard along with the purtenance box set by darksympho which i was hoping to grab this summer.

Update on one of the orders.

I guess the reason I never received the HHR order was because of what I ordered.

I ordered a copy of the G.A.T.E.S. - Total Death Pic LP, but I guess they ran short of them, and so I'm offered a refund or item(s) of equal price instead.

I'm still on the look out for the others then.
