yeah.. the track with John Anderson from YES is pretty good - he's got the voice and stature of a small elf as well.

They did three albums under Jon & Vangelis. The Friends of Mr. Cario is the best, the rest is fairly friendly and too easy for me.

I liked it a lot, from back then till now, a greeeaaaatttt intro (if not one of the best) for the blasphemy which follows... It gives a pretty creepy feeling, a very paranoid feeling to the opening of that mini LP... Don't know, I cannot be objective with anything related to deathcrush...

I guess some of you already know this, but Conrad Schnitzler actually regretted he sent them Silvester Anfang - it was something like if he had known what Mayhem were about, he would've made something darker for them.

I think it's pretty dark and apocalyptic. The chaotic boney drums reminds me of the pile of skulls original cover of the demo tape. Fits perfectly for me.

Thanks Sadovahr about the infos.

I also think that Silvester Anfang is absolutely marvellous.
Listening it live is even better.

Blade Runner's soundtrack is fucking great in that style. Vangelis, I think.

Self-taught. I never knew that.

If you like Vangelis, check out Kraftwerk.

I grew up in Germany in the early 80s if that's any indication of how much I'm into Kraftwerk. I have to admit to even liking their Eurotrash Disco stuff. Favorites would still have to be Trans and Radio. Something very 1984-ish and desolate about that era's Electronic music that gets me.

Listening to Zeit right now. Creepy stuff. That Froese/Franke/Baumann-lineup was something magical.

Hey I only have one lp of this superdimensional group (Cylcone), but what would be the ultimate lp of this superdimensional group? Please give insight.
End transmission.

One of my all time favorite, best albums are Atem, Zeit, Rubycon, Stratosfear, and Phaedra, and Alpha Centauri, and Electronic Meditation, and Tangram.

Great band, start at the first LP and keep going till you reach an album you don't like. Also worth looking out for if it hasn't been mentioned yet is, "The Bootleg Box Set Vol. 1".
