Is it not kult to make shirts or do they not want to merchandise the band?

both. why not make your own instead? probably more in line with their ethos than filling the pockets of bootleggers

I dig the ban, and find it pretty refreshing with a band that don`t wanna jump on the merch-wagon.

i'm not even all that into them but am inclined to agree

It's a decision made by the band at the beginning. Bone Awl likes to do their own thing as you can see from their overall aesthetics. Do they really need a reason?

probably the same reason Fugazi never did merch. Their band and their music is not a product or a fashion statement. Bands make music, not clothes.

Novel idea! Homemade shirts rule!

I made my own Butthole Surfers and Meatmen shirts when I was 14. Sharpie and white tee. Easy as pie.

Damn, I had no idea. There are a hell of a lot of Fugazi shirts walking around out there...
