Impulse Manslaughter anyone?

Of course!

DISMEMBER - Indecent & Obscene
WINTER - Eternal Frost EP
PUNGENT STENCH - up to Dirty Rhymes...

Yes, these are hyped, but nowhere near the hype of later shit from this metal McDonald's.

Defecations Purity Dilution is a decent early NB

Yeah! It's much better than ND's boring Harmony Corruption for instance.

I see Crimson Relic - Purgatory's Reign needs a mention. As I said in the Divine Eve thread; a near perfect album.

Afflicted - Prodigal Sun too. Entombed's Clandestine meets Vo´vod or something. Great vox!

Also have a soft spot for The Abyss. Especially Summon the Beast - yes, it's pretty generic Swedish hyperspeed BM, but somehow manages to be quite brutal and blows Dark Funeral the fuck away.

Oh, hyped or not, Winter & Death Strike are just mandatory.

The "Grindcore" sampler had a couple of totally unknown but killer bands.

Agree with Impulse Manslaughter. Great band, great vocalist.

Afflicted - Prodigal Sun. Their last great effort before going crazy and boring.

Incubus - Beyond The Unknown LP. Ok, NB advertised this release in every fanzine, but damn is this great.

The Dimension Demented / Metamorphosis CD was released by one of the Brutality guys (Larry Sapp if I remember right), limited to 500 copies. It has a pro-print, and a silver surface. So I think it might be a CD, not a CDr.

Maybe we're talking about the same thing. The CD I have has home made looking inserts.

Correct. Even cut'n paste style when looking closer to backinlay, and the two-page booklet.

I guess I just assumed that it was a CDR because of the way the cover looks. Now someone needs to press that on vinyl.

Sinister - Cross the Styx one of the most insane metal albums ever, the riffing is so incredibly evil and twisted.

I'm surprised REVENANT's Prophecies of a Dying World hasn't been mentioned, I love that album!

Also THE ABYSS's albums, although I prefer The Other Side.

I wouldn't say this one's a classic, but some WARHAMMER albums have been released on Nuclear Blast and they're fun to listen to.

Everyone's talking Deathstrike, what about Master?

Or is that too "hyped"?

I think Master was already mentioned. Master is also quite popular these days.

I happened to be listening to that album as I discovered this thread and assumed it would not yet have been mentioned. Good one.
