Agree, it's nasty, heavy, suffocating shit. My only minor complaint is that it can be hard to make out the riffs at times, but that also kind of contributes to the feeling that the music is trying to murder you.

The production does bug me sometimes, but I bet it was intentional for the record.

I like how the last song is doomy like Mortal Throne of Nazarene. It leaves you feeling dismal.

I fully agree, and it is high praise (well justified with this album) comparing it to old Incantation. Death metal doesn't get much better then that!

Intentional and awesome I'd say. The massive, suffocating tone works in their favor here. Some of the impact would be lost if the guitars were thinned out in favor of increased clarity. Although I'll also add I can hear the riffs quite clearly so perhaps the stereo being used is a factor here?

Got mine today. Thank you kindly, Yosuke.

Was the cover image edited from a photo? And if so, what was the original?

The cover was done by Alex from Italy. I think he merged multiple photos taken from the "bone cathedral" in the Czech Republic to create that image.

Interesting stuff. What about the hooded figures? Looks like something out of a Skull & Bones meeting.

You´re right, the background is some merged photos of the Kostnice ossuary. The faceless monks are taken from a pic I took long ago, then worked on illustrator over it.

Btw, I´m spanish and not italian, although my family hails from northern Italy.

Also, I forget which thread you mentioned this in, but have you had a chance to send out the missing booklets from the first batch of orders?

Great release. Maybe a bit more of clarity could have worked better, and no, it is not my stereo. It kinda has an edge missing, like for example the one the production in Dead Congregation has, that the riffs specially those ones not intended to be that bassy, are a bit more clear, without losing intensity.
Still, it is a very good release, and one band that also shines playing mid-tempo. And I need to get the re-press of the CD soon, as this 7" e.p. format is great, but nowhere to put in the car...ha!
