Hi,

got a note from a last years trading partner who claimed to have found out that the first Burzum CD on DSP (jewel case) that I have sent him could be a bootleg.

proofs:
1. matrix code is "antimosh 002" and not "DURECO [01] ANTIMOSH" as all other DSP firstpresses seem to have.
2. The print seems more dark and blurry comparing it with the original print

HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT A BOOTLEG OF THIS CD DONE BACK IN THE DEEP 90ies????? I would be very curious about that and would really be angry to have owned a fake for such a long time (bought it in '95).

Yeah I think there was a bootleg of the first CD and Aske CD floating around. There was a thread about it on FMP some years ago.

This bootleg of the Burzum-debut has made its first appearance in the catalogue of infamous Last Episode-Label (called Last Epitaph at first) sometime in 1996 or 1997, if I am not mistaken.

There's quite a few threads about Burzum bootlegs at Metal-Archives' trading board. Quite a few experts too heh.

Here's the matrix code of a bootleg of the first album I bought from Malaysia. I see these on Ebay every few weeks:

I got a full refund. I've got the original, too.

Hmm, I just got a Vendetta "Brain Damage" CD from Malaysia and it seems to be a bootleg...a well done one if you ask me, but the back tray seems suspicious...but for US $4 I really cannot complaint...

The artwork and inserts probably look exact. The CDs are fake.

dr. pus on Ebay has sold some, if not all, bootlegs. I called him out about it and he never responded...

I also have the Dureco code, but it is printed like on all other DSP CDs, and not like shown in the picture of this Malaysian boot.

Still I haven't found the correct 100% confirmed answer anywhere:

"DURECO [01] ANTIMOSH" or only "antimosh 002" for the first press of that CD ?

Dureco[01] ANTIMOSH.

I've got the one sent from Euronymous to Morgan of Marduk with the original packaging written by Euro, a flier signed by him, and the original disc...
