Probably a lot less now that the reissue is out |
It very much depends on the album, but reissues generally don't affect the value of the original. Look at Deathcrush, there are like dozens of editions out there and still people fork out insane amounts of money for the very first press.

I think in the case of Deathcrush it has more to do with the Back on Black version being the only official easily available non PIC disc version of this album. People know BOB releases are poor but the reissue of the Watain LP is really good + it's spread across 2 LP whereas the original vinyl version was only 1 LP. |

People buying those expensive records obviously don't do it because the reissues aren't good enough, they do it because the original press is the one that really counts in terms of collecting issues. In Watain's case the original also comes with a different artwork which is another key factor, you can bet the EAL press will still sell for heaps of money.
