Yes - Yessongs
Hawkwind - Space Ritual
Manfred Mann's Earthband - Mann Alive

I've never been much of a fan of live metal albums. Most of them are identical to the studio versions with weaker production, which seems rather pointless to me. Still there are some good ones like Priest in the East, Live After Death etc.

not an "official" live album but there is a bootleg of SLAYER made around 1990 on cassette and cd called "Captors of Sin", the one with the blue colored graveyard cover...The show is from the "Hell Awaits" period. The sound is pretty good on some spots, horrible on others but the performance and vocals are so raw and fast it is quite sick. Not to mention interesting commentary from Tom between tracks. The energy of this one, and I've heard many boots of the band...is probably the best "live" recording I've heard. All the "offricial" ones I've never found all that special...

"COCAINE !!!!! "

'Killing yourself to live' is amazing on that record. Might have to dust it off when I get home from work!
