Damn, tried this again after all this hype, but it was like an Austin Powers-movie with the exception that Myers knew it was a parody of something else.

Maybe some people listen it because of "the message", but sometimes it's better to read a book than listen something with the same concept stripped down.

I really feel this band trying to get BIG and that would be their main goal. But, good for them, I must be the only one feeling like this.

However, The Ruins of Beverast is great.

Another possibility is that they have no problem with catchy rock music as long as it's well-crafted and interesting. There's value in that - I don't want to always listen to intricate, obscure extreme metal.

Nothing that sounds remotely like them is big now, and singing about Satan and witchcraft is hardly a ticket to stardom. Just because they write memorable hooks doesn't mean they're courting mainstream success. A band that sounds like this, with that kind of subject matter, would be damn lucky to sell 30,000 records today. In short, I think you're having a knee-jerk reaction and assuming some kind of cynicism on the part of the band that is not at all reflected in reality. Maybe they just like that kind of music. Maybe the people who listen to them also like that kind of music.

I haven't heard Devil's Blood yet, actually... Something a person would like if he were into RoB, late BaN, Ph'D, late DSO, and all that?..

Edit: and I do realise there are big differences between these bands but you'll kinda get my point I hope... I like 'modern' BM...

DEEJI. Du e en jÆvla idiot(yr a fucking idjit) and all that

End of story.

I'm glad that we have this kind of band nowadays. And I'll be so damn happy if I see them go mainstream and big, as long as they stick to their music and their ideas.

Downloaded it from where? I hate downloading anything, but I'm waiting to get word on somebody in the states stocking it and I'm anxious to hear it.
