Like Norse styled black metal.
I like the German Pest, Darvulia from France, and maybe a few others. I don't care for 90% of the bands playing this style. What bands do you recommend? _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

I really liked the Satanic Warmaster (Finland) "Carelian Satanist Madness" and Heimdalls Wacht (Germany) "Westfälischer Schlachtenlärm" albums as far as you can call them "norse style black metal"
I guess I really dont know much of these kind of black metal bands you are talking about, maybe some others I like will come to mind later |

| Not necessarily 'Norse' styled, but I enjoy Mgla, Darkspace, Lunar Aurora, and a few others. |

i really didn't like that album. i liked their eps and some songs from splits but that's about it.
i really like darvulia also. can't wait for l'alliance to be on vinyl. the swedish pest is the only pest i care for. total darkthrone clone though, but still excellent. there's many more i like though. |

What do you think of, if you have heard, the Swedish Pest? I got their release "Desecration", I thought that was quite good! Other than that, I haven't really kept an hear out for this style... |

Not only "new" bands here since some of them were formed around 98/99 but still... here you go:
France:
-Haemoth (2 albums, one mini album, 4/5 demo tapes)
-Spektr (2 albums available and a new killer mini album out soon on Debemur Morti)
-Inpestae (first MCD out soon on Battlek'rs) - really Extreme thrashing black metal.
Grece:
-Nocternity is excellent, espescially the new EP "Harps of the ancient temples", the 2nd album "Onyx", and the 12" MLP "A fallen unicorn".
Italy:
-Tenebrae In Perpetuum (2 albums, a few EPs, a split EP, and a demo tape)
-Lorn
Finland:
-Prevalent Resistance
-Vordr
-October Falls (the latest MLP only, because the previous releases contain acoustic music)
-Inferi
Belgium:
-Paragon Impure is quite good as far as I remember.
non-exhaustive list.... |

Italy :
Malvento - "Ignis Bellum Mors" - Very good raw black metal, a bit thrashing and very melancholic
Spite Extreme Wing - Non Dvcor Dvco , this album is a with a bit Avantgarde, Demo '99 is more traditional norge style and both are extremely goooooood!!! |

Yeah their album was very strong for atmospheric black metal. _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.

Norway's Furze-- very demented. Not really new though; he's got three albums out already. _________________ "Great holes secretley are digged where earth's pores ought to suffice, and things have learnt to walk that ought to crawl..." |

Furze god too art nerdy.
I liked the newest Kampfar album as far as real Norse black metal goes. There really isn't much coming out of Norway these days. _________________ Your opinion is as insignificant as your existence.
