The Chasm are criminally overlooked and one of the most unique bands in death metal. Daniel and crew's determination in the face of adversity is inspiring!

I'll be stocking the new CD as well once it comes out.

I'm in. Can't wait for this one. The Chasm are a truly unique band, nobody sounds quite like them.

I love them.... as far as nobody sounding quite like them, I've always considered their sound to be similar to Dissection in a bizarro world kinda way.

I wish these guys would play out more...I live in Chicago, but they only play once every year or so..
At least I will see them in a few weeks with Destroyer666!

It exists! More importantly, I have it!

I'm finishing my first listen. First impression is that they still sound like The Chasm, which is good. Weirdly it seems like at least half the album is instrumental, and on a lot of the vocal tracks the voice kind of recedes away... it ends up being a very moody album because of this. Daniel's vocals are by no means the focus.

Production is very clear without being overbearing or mechanical. It fits the music pretty well, though I would have liked a little more heaviness and atmosphere. Some parts of the album almost sounds like thrash because of the kind of dry clarity of the mix and the tuning/picking style - kind of "Beneath the Remains"-sounding.

It'll take a few more listens to wrap my head around the songs. But I don't think Corchado has lost a step there. Tracks are still VERY lengthy with those crazy riffs and sections that take 15 seconds to get back to where they started. Everything definitely has an epic feel...

Astonishing band, the new album is quite brilliant really. The Chasm do not know
how to write boring riffs, everything is top notch!
