GRAVE RITUAL and FORNICATION are now at press. Expect them soon.

Also, DETEST RECORDS has received copies of all our available releases, customers overseas should try there first before ordering from me.

the SPR eBay store will probably close at the new year. while this was a great short term ecommerce solution, the fees are just proving to be too devastating to my label. with the upcoming CD release of the full-length WAKEDEAD GATHERING album I cannot continue to pay over 100 dollars in fees every month. I am searching for (and think I have found) a viable ecommerce solution, but most likely I will go back to the standard distro list on the site until I can fully work out the new shop. I encourage anyone who intends to order to please do so through the site at this time.

I also am aware that some people in other countries are having trouble with the tabs functioning on the site. I am looking into this. For anyone that needs to see the distro list I have one posted in the trade section of this board that I try to update as much as possible. You can also sign up for our newsletter to get distro and new release updates.

cheers//

grave ritual has been a success, thanks to all who have ordered.

all SPR releases (with the exception of moulded flesh) are nearing the sold out point, if anyone needs anything now is the time to do it, I need to make room for the fornication pro tape and the wakedead gathering cd's. I have less than 10 copies of the wakedead gathering demo and less than 20 of kurhan. I have quite a few moulded flesh left and around 30-40 necrowretch. I have opened up the remaining copies of necrowretch for trade at this time.

I have around 40-50 copies I think. Shoot me an email if you want to arrange something, I sent you MF and NW about a week ago too.

OUT NEXT ON SKELETON PLAGUE RECORDS:

SPR008 – MORTUOUS (US) “Mors Immortalis” – Skeleton Plague is honored to release the first demo from MORTUOUS, a one-man death metal powerhouse. The demo will feature 4 tracks on pro tape, limited to 200 copies.

SPR009 – THE WAKEDEAD GATHERING (US) “TBA” – Skeleton Plague has secured an agreement with THE WAKEDEAD GATHERING to release their debut album on professional CD. You won’t find any CDr bullshit from us. Featuring 9 tracks of old-school metal of death, this is the best WAKEDEAD GATHERING material to date, and expands on their signature sound presented on the 2009 demo. Skeleton Plague also arranged to have rising artist Eric Musall handle the cover art and the full layout, which encompasses the WAKEDEAD sound in visual format. Look for this release to be out sometime in the first quarter of 2010.

That's me, for the curious. Very Happy I'm happy to be working on this, Wakedead Gathering are definitely one of the best old school, underground death metal bands in this resurgence we're experiencing.

And I second the love for the Moulded Flesh tape. The sound on it is a little weird but the music is killer.

It's a little muffled and airless. Nothing too bad, you can hear everything clearly and all that. But some high end is missing (mostly on the guitars I think) and there's not a lot of atmosphere in the mix. Still a great tape, and the music is fantastic.

yeah what eric is saying is right on par. and actually that is one of the things I really liked about the production is that it sounds kind of like it was recorded in an air sealed box. I think it really lends itself to the tone and atmosphere of the recording itself, it makes the whole "death is redemption" concept complete.
