Oerheks offers an eerie musical landscape, channelling local myths and lore; layers of guitar melody and cyclic rhythms echoing the passages of time, and depiction of tales through the ages, with a wistful sense of nostalgia both warming and warning; a sense of foreboding ominous comfort in its captivating rawness.
Members of a circle of bands which include Trancelike Void, Monads, LVTHN, Silver Knife and extends by association across scenes to Zwarte Dood, Wolvennest Laster, Nusquama and many more). Those bands will clue you in to the elevated confluence of sounds contained within the albums, both drawn from a deep well of traditional black metal, woven with psychedelic mysticism into trancey atmospheric passages, and both with distinct characters.
