ONWARD // ASCENDANT Picture LP Series Volume I

As the capstone of Nuclear War Now!’s ONWARD // ASCENDANT warehouse fundraising campaign, the label proudly offers this set of nine picture disc LPs, representing the work of nine different artists with whom the label has strongly allied itself over the past fifteen-plus years. The recordings included in the set range from some of the earliest done by the label, such as Morbosidad’s self-titled debut album, to some of the most recent, like the 2015 Black Witchery / Revenge split LP. The set also contains a previously-unreleased 2006 live recording from label stalwarts, Ares Kingdom, as well as a rough mix of Sabbat’s first album, “Envenom,” which was previously only available with the Sabbatical Earlyearslaught box set. Completing the set are several of the most classic black/death recordings ever made, such as Blasphemy’s “Fallen Angel of Doom,” Black Witchery’s “Desecration of the Holy Kingdom,” Conqueror’s “War.Cult.Supremacy,” Abigail’s “Intercourse and Lust,” and Goatlord’s “Reflections of the Solstice.” All of the picture disc visual designs are exclusive to this set, meaning that they have never before been released by the label with this particular presentation. In addition, each LP comes housed in a jacket commemorating the ONWARD // ASCENDANT campaign and Nuclear War Now!’s past, present, and future. Finally, the set is accompanied by a screen-printed cloth bag featuring the iconic NWN! clenched-fist emblem. All proceeds from the sale of these sets will go directly to the label’s ongoing campaign to fund the purchase of a warehouse, which will ensure Nuclear War Now!’s long-term viability.
