For the first time on vinyl format, 2017 sees the reissue of Sorrow, the 1993 EP of the Norwegian purveyors of the most incredible atmospheric doom metal music, The 3rd And The Mortal. Formed as a band in Trondheim, Sorrow was the first official studio effort of a band destined to become one of the essential pillars upon which doom metal was to be built, with frontwoman Kari Rueslåtten being one of the early female voices in metalmusic, influencing acts like The Gathering or Theatre Of Tragedy among others. Four tracks ranging from heavy guitars to stunning haunting melodies delivering twenty minutes previous to their long acclaimed first full length album Tears Laid In Earth. This 2017 version is presented as 12″EP on black vinyl and printed inner sleeve.

Originally formed as a band in Trodheim, Tears laid In Earth covers all doom metal areas that later acts just dared to lightly touch but never command, with vocalist Kari Rueslatten as the main influence on female voices in the years thereafter before starting her successful solo career. This 2017 version is presented in double gatefold black vinyl with printed inner sleeves.
